| well, i used to hate valentines day cause nothing cool ever happened to me(except for that it was addie's birthday and that is cool) but good news guys, now i love valentines and i am in the spirit. tonight i decorate our door with beautiful decorations that i just bought at wal-mart!! (which, by the way, that store has the most amazing random things in the world. you can basically think up any old random thing in your head and find in down one of the aisles in wal-mart, including stuffed monkeys wearing handcuffs and holding hearts, which kyle and i love love love.) and tomorrow we go see tristan and isolde, (cause isnt that a love movie?) and who knows what will happen wednesday, but hopefully it will be romantic. and since now seems like a good time to say it, i love kyle. and all of you. | | |
| Online classes are hard, way harder than classroom classes. They require lots of doing homework, on your own, with no real help, because theres no real teacher. You just have a book. Books are no help. Online classes are making me spend Saturday doing work. That sucks..and yes, I am making a pouty face. | | |

i wanna go home. i just got here and i wanna go home. yesterday was the rainiest, coldest day so far. i wore flip flops. but who can really call me dumb when the day before it was 75 degrees and i wore shorts? i mean, you cant ever tell what to wear. the weather is so wrong.
i found the red dress i wanted to wear out for valentines day with kyle and i bought it, they didnt have my size even though the site said they did and so now i am doing what i didnt realize would be the hardest thing ever...searching for an equally pretty red dress online. i made kykie buy a red tie when we were at lenox on saturday so i have to find a red dress now cause the whole point of the event is to match.
yesterday my treadmill came. actually it didnt come to me. it came to the truck stop where i met a man who drives an 18 wheeler to get it and bring it back to my dorm. it was so heavy. way heavier than anyone would have guessed just by looking at it online. well, it was SO complicated to put together. it had parts here, screws there, pieces were all over the place. misty and i decided to go out to eat in town so we drove to her house to pick up a screwdriver and then went to sonic to get supper. then we came back and watched american idol, which i did not realize was lasting 2 hours, but when it went off we got to work on the treadmill and i think about 3 or so hours later we had it all put together and were so proud and tired. laura helped some too when she came in and it was just fun.
today i was the first one to wake up and we didnt have any running water on campus. a pipe had burst during the night. i had to brush my teeth, wash my face, AND-not kidding-take a shower, mainly to wash my hair, with publix bottled water. it took 3. but i felt just as clean as i always do and so even though the conditions sucked and the bottled water was freezing it all worked out nicely and i missed no classes and also managed to not look gross like some others did.
now im gonna go nap cause the treadmill kept me up late and i am tired!! no class tomorrow for me!
p.s. i am reading the best book- 90 minutes in heaven. | | |
| hey yall... clearly my new years resolution was not to update xanga more often, haha. well i thought today i would just write a new little update because 1.) kyle told me to cause every morning he reads my xanga and he is tired of the same old post and 2.) i have had a REALLY bad luck day. first off, i locked both sets of keys, my louis vuitton handbag filled with all the important things (i.e. license, cards, KEYS) inside of my jeep when i drove over to student services at 8:30 to buy my books. i felt like such an idiot. just this weekend my mom told me to go have copies made in case i ever needed them, and did i do it? you bet i did not. ironically three days later i would end up with my only two sets locked inside the jeep. i would do that. so in the meantime i buy my $297 worth of books...which i might add, was only 2 books. yeah..college textbook prices are retarded, i would love to be the dude who collects all that cash. what a bajillionaire. but anyways...i call my fada and he goes to work on finding a guy to cut me a key to unlock my door. i go to my 9 and 10 o'clock classes both of which i have with kyle and he was great at reminding me of just how dumb i really am because "who locks both sets of keys in their car?" i dunno..me, i guess. in my comp class, i get another dose of bad luck..i have now purchased and unwrapped the wrong computer textbook and software. perfect. my teacher told me to use the software and access code and then take the book to the bookstore and they would swap my books and let me keep the used software. after class kyle and i headed on over and little did she know that actually they would do no such thing. it was a MAJOR ordeal. i had used the software therefore making the book unreturnable, and apparently also making me that much more of a retard cause on the packaging there was a little sticker saying, "unreturnable if package is opened" well whatever.. i find it ridiculous that i would have to be stuck with a book that cost ninety something dollars that goes to a class that i am not now nor ever will i be taking. so finally with the help of kyle, who is way more rational and calm than i am in serious times of stress, we were able to get a really nice and helpful old man and an extremely you-know-what (rhymes with ditchy)lady to take my new book and swap it for a used book and somehow we called it even? yeah i still dont get it but whatever..i was getting mad, and kyle doesnt like me mad, so he took the book and encouraged me to leave, and we did. and now here i am with a used book that cost way less than my new one..but it'll all be alright i reckon. so heres how things turned out with my car...my dad called the dodge jeep place in town, they were able to cut me a new key there i just had to drive to town to get it. kyle had practice right after a&p so i took his huge, way too big for me, truck and drove it to town, with no license, no money, no anything and went to the place to get my key, which i was told would cost me something like $15. well i got there, a nice man named adam, knew right away..i guess i just look like a girl who would lock everything inside her car..but he was so sweet and didnt charge me anything for the key!! yay, my one smidgen of good luck today!! so now my car is back, my purse is inside my room, kyles truck is back at his place where it belongs, and now i am sittin here in my dorm..fixin to go to a mandatory dorm meetin at 6 that i will be fined a $25 fee if i do not show up at...uggh..so annoying but whatev. tonight kyles takin me to town to get banana splits..cause i DESERVE one!! lol, yay! i cant wait!! lucky i have such a good boyfriend! | | |
